Artist Statement:
My work reflects harmony and inner peace, intended to resonate deeply with those who encounter it. My paintings are not mere visual experiences; they are profound connections, meant to forge a unique bond between the observer and myself. Through my art, I seek to be a conduit for personal connection, evoking memories of joy, happiness, or other emotions that mark significant moments in one's life.
I am inspired by the boundless beauty of nature, the earth, and the fluidity of water. The oceans, with their vastness and ever-changing motion, serve as a profound source of inspiration. This connection to nature allows me to imbue my work with a sense of peace and reflection, capturing the essence of emotions and feelings I perceive in the world.
In my creative process, I aim to construct a form of realism that diverges into transformative abstraction, reflecting the unique reality of constant change. Henri Matisse once said, "Color was not given to us in order that we should imitate nature, it was given to us so that we can express our own emotion." Embracing this philosophy, I use color to convey my own emotions, interpreting the world through my lens of experience and emotion.
Through my art, I invite viewers to see an abstraction of reality, inspiring them to recall their own cherished memories and emotions, and to connect with the transformative power of nature and color.
