Jerson Ramos - USA

Jerson Ramos, professionally known as Vazk_uez Art, is an international contemporary artist based in Miami, Florida. His work explores the relationship between emotional intensity and visual elegance through expressive portraiture, striking contrasts, and a distinctive use of magenta. Working primarily with acrylic paint and incorporating gold leaf, drips, and ultraviolet effects, he creates paintings that invite viewers to look beyond appearances and consider the emotions, memories, and contradictions beneath the surface.

At the center of his artistic identity is Elegance in Chaos™, his signature phrase and the guiding philosophy behind his practice. For Ramos, chaos provides a starting point for creation: an accumulation of thoughts, experiences, and feelings that can be transformed into something visually compelling. His paintings bring those forces together through deliberate contrasts, allowing strength and vulnerability, darkness and light, and restraint and spontaneity to coexist within the same composition.

His path has developed through persistence and a renewed commitment to painting. After completing a work in 2012, he stepped away from his practice for several years before returning with a clearer sense of purpose. Creating in a small room, he began building the visual language that would become Vazk_uez Art. This intimate setting shaped a practice grounded in personal discipline, experimentation, and the determination to make meaningful work with the space and resources available to him.

A defining moment came when a Downtown Miami gallery contacted him about participating in what would become his first exhibition following that return. The opportunity marked an important step in bringing his work into public view and connecting with audiences beyond social media. Since then, his artistic journey has included exhibitions in Miami galleries, international magazine features, local newspaper coverage, and sales to collectors who connect with the emotional presence of his original paintings.

Among his works are Memento Mori, Yoroi, Refuge in My Silence, and Miami-Flama-Fénix. Each belongs to a growing body of work shaped by his interest in identity, resilience, silence, and transformation. In March 2026, Yoroi received international finalist recognition from Fusion Art, adding a significant milestone to his developing career. His work has also appeared in publications including Artells Magazine, Visual Art Journal, and Calle Ocho News, extending its visibility across different audiences.

Ramos approaches portraiture as a space for emotional interpretation. A face can suggest confidence while carrying sadness; a bold color can introduce energy into an otherwise quiet image. His characteristic black, white, and magenta palette gives these tensions a recognizable visual form. Gold accents and layered surfaces add further dimensions to compositions that balance immediate impact with details discovered through closer observation.

As Vazk_uez Art continues to evolve, Ramos remains focused on creating original works that carry a personal voice and establish a lasting connection with their viewers. His ambition is to build a sustained artistic career while expanding the possibilities of his distinctive visual identity across painting and sculptural expression. Through Elegance in Chaos™, he gives a name to that ongoing pursuit: finding beauty, presence, and meaning within the complexity of human experience.
